MATCh: Project Progression of ELTE team I period
Highlights of Athens meeting:
Months 1-2
Allocation of human resources for the project, allocation of workplace, preparation for the initial start of
work, investigation of legal procedures and requirements, management of local participants and environment.
Preparation for issues of the first meeting in Athens and active participation on meeting.
Tasks about WP 1:
Months 3-4
Review of our past activities with children on topics of Logo and educational software, review of available
educational software and their virtues and flaws. Preparation of papers submitted to Eurologo’97 conference,
that deal with more detailed issues that would be concluded in the WP1. Discussion on issues of deliverable reports.
Preparation of the our contribution to WP1: "User Requirements & System Specification" and
"Children’s Experiences".
Highlights of Budapest meeting:
Months 5-6
Preparation of Eurologo’97 conference publication facilitating adequate exposure of papers submitted by
MATCh partners and paper delivered by the consortium. Collection of information on possibilities of hardware
and software purchase to facilitate project work, comparison of price quotations and brands. Design of the
working environment (both hardware and software). Purchase of products, legal and local paper-work to facilitate
purchase as guided by EC and national legal requirements. Preparation of draft financial statement as requested by
the co-ordinator.
Months 7-8
Finalising Eurologo publication and the program of the conference, giving a highlighted emphasis on MATCh
presentations, organisation and realisation of conference. Preparation and organisation of second MATCh meeting
in Budapest and active participation on meeting and the conference, giving presentations on topics related to MATCh
ideas and past experiences.
Organising Eurologo’97.
Initial work on WP 3:
Months 9-10
Preparation of working environment, installation of hardware and software purchased. Collection of information
on further educational software products and books related to MATCh topics, purchase of products.
Months 11-12
Evaluation of educational software products and books purchased. Considering special responsibilities in the
co-ordination of application development. Initialising a MATCh mailing list to facilitate intensive communication
between partners on actual issues concerning the development of applications. Active exchange of messages to tackle
unclear issues of applications. Designing initial proposals for possible applications, discussions on topics,
possibilities and considerations of multi-cultural applicability. Preparation of next working meeting in Bratislava
for application development. Preparation of end of year Progress Report.
